When your baby brother gets married you pull out all the stops for his rehearsal dinner. Before I give you any details on the rehearsal things, can we talk about how GORGEOUS this venue is?
We were fortunate enough to have the rehearsal at the same venue the wedding was being held. Greenhouse Two Rivers in Highlandville, Missouri was all that and a bag of chips. The venue itself has two rooms for the bridal party to prep for the big day, a kitchen/bar, multiple outdoor vignettes for weddings outside and ample storage for all the wedding supplies you could ever need. Lauren and her husband outdid themselves on this venue and it’s no wonder they are a Knot Wedding award winner!
Now back to the rehearsal. We went with a coordinating rehearsal to match the wedding colors which were blush, grey and pops of gold. Each place setting had a gold charger, pink and white plate, blush napkin and a menu showcasing the night’s menu.
Flowers for the rehearsal were being used the next day at the wedding and they consisted of hydrangeas, quicksand roses, lisianthus, playa blanca roses, Kiera David Austin roses, spray roses, ranunculus, Italian ruscus and eucalyptus. Custom cups with the monogram were also at each place setting for guests.
Blush chiffon table runners graced each table.I mean, I can’t get over this venue!
We went with an Italian themed dinner with Fettuccini, Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese and Chicken Parmesan from Piccolo in Nixa, Missouri. Steve and his team were so great to work with (especially with me being out of town) and were very prompt on their responses. Customer service at its finest!
Desserts also came from Piccolo. We did a New York style cheesecake (my brother’s favorite) and a caramel torte. Both were beautiful.
Sweet Peach Bakery in DeFuniak Springs made these GORGEOUS cookies with the bride and groom’s custom monogram. Almost too pretty to eat aren’t they?
To coincide with the Italian theme, our good friends helped us pick out the perfect Italian wines to serve alongside the entrees we selected. The custom wedding monogram was used on a short-side table runner for the beverage table.
We created a custom sign to welcome guests at the front of the venue that would remain and be used at the wedding.
The night was beautiful and a great way to start a beautiful wedding weekend! Below was the venue the day of the wedding. Romantic and dreamy, right!?
Congratulations to my brother and my new sister! We love you both!
