The Doleacs

MacKinnon and Adam were married December 2, 2022 at Eden State Gardens in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, MacKinnon has deep Walton County roots as well as many family members still living here. Adam is a Mississippi born, singer-songwriter most known for “Another” and “Coulda Loved You Longer“.

Before we get into the wedding I also did the florals for the rehearsal dinner at Monet Monet in Grayton Beach, Florida. Here’s a peek at that…

I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about the A+ vendor team we had for this event. Ali Bonomo Photography knocked it out of the park. Hayden Sikes at 850 Event Rentals came through with all the major rentals (tent, tables, chairs, stage, bars, lights, etc.) and set up. BBJ LaTavola was used for linens. Townsend Catering kept everyone’s bellies full and did a tremendous job with the food. Big City Rhythm kept everyone on their feet and dancing all night long.

On to the good stuff… A neutral color palette for the wedding was chosen by the bride with greens, champagne and blush to highlight the nature of Eden, which is beautiful in its own right. Her bridesmaids wore champagne dresses and her florals were white and blush with hints of eucalyptus. MacKinnon was a vision in her strapless gown adorned with lace and detachable lace sleeves.

The Groom’s custom suit came from The Tie Bar and had a custom insert and his groomsmen wore black tuxes. A sweet touch to Adam’s suit was his pocket square was made out of his mother’s wedding dress. Groomsmen gifts were epic – with a custom likeness of each of the closest men in his life as a bobblehead.

The ceremony was centered around the infamous “wedding tree” on the property. Wooden X-back, white chairs and aisle flowers set the scene for a beautiful wedding.

For the reception we brought in a clear tent, lounge furniture, tables, stage and bars. Linens from BBJ LaTavola were used in three patterns for dining and cocktail tables. A flower- adorned stage front was the showstopper under the tent.

There were many personal touches to the reception from custom cups, signature drinks and a custom “Champagne of Beers” wall to highlight Adam’s endorsement with Miller High Life.

A traditional three-tiered wedding cake embellished with fresh floral and a groom’s cake for the ages which was a replica of Adam’s jeep were the sweet treats of the evening.

Motown tunes with saxophones, horns and the most incredible musicians kept the party going all night. Adam, being an artist himself, of course did a little ditty for his bride.

At the close of the night Whataburger came through with a delivery of honey butter chicken biscuits which we couldn’t hardly get displayed on the champagne wall without them being devoured.

At the end of the night they rode off into the night in style after a rose petal send off.

Life update: these precious people are living their best life as a cute little family of 3!
